King Living, an official partner of Love It Or List It Australia, feature once again in Episode 4 of Foxtel's Lifestyle series.
The latest episode brings us to the picturesque suburb of Paddington in Sydney, where a young couple is faced with the dilemma of staying put and renovating a smaller space, or forgoing an investment in the sought-after suburb.
Newlyweds Kieran and Riley had purchased their un-renovated terrace in the highly-sought after suburb two years ago. Initially, the area was ideal with its abundant heritage and café culture. However, the shine is now wearing off, at least for Riley, who does not see it as the couple’s “forever home.” Given its cramped two bedrooms, steep staircase and minimal backyard, Riley believes it is time to cash in and sell. Kieran cannot see that they will ever need more than what they have, and that the property has the potential to be the perfect house in the perfect location.
It’s up to Andrew to find a bigger, family-friendly home in a suburb to rival Paddington, while Neale has to make a small home feel like a place Riley can see herself living in both now and in the future.
Stepping into the lounge room, one is greeted by the neat Plaza Modular Sofa in a textured blueberry hue. Graceful Venus and Crescent tables in polished Carrara marble and the Seymour armchair in a smoky ale colour add richness to the lofty room. Panama Square and Havana cushions in ritzy gold velvet, as well as neutral tones provide a nice contrast and add colour to lift the area.
Adjoining the lounge room is the dining area, where the refined Canyon Dining Table in solid American oak is set with classic Aspen Dining Chairs in a luxuriant sapphire leather. The polished look is finished with the Thames rug in Natural Caramel by Bayliss.
The master bedroom is luminous and uncluttered, showcasing the Promenade King bed in Oasis fabric, which, with the soft-hued duck-egg blue walls creates a relaxed, beachy vibe. Serenade Beside Tables finished with Carrara marble and Panama cushions in Chiasso Midnight fabric add to the ambience of the intimate setting.
Occasional furniture from King Living, as well as various accent cushions in a variety of hues complete the look throughout the home.
