The second episode of Living Spaces with Neale Whitaker features world renowned interior designer Jeffrey Alan Marks. Neale and Jeffrey discuss the inspiration behind the new Oceanview Fabric Collection by JAM, his playful style and the parallels between Californian and Australian coastal living.
Australia has been a great inspiration for Jeffrey; a small beachside restaurant in Palm Beach inspired the first print from the Oceanview Collection, a range of classic fabrics firmly embedded in a coastal living aesthetic. The new collection plays homage to Jeffrey’s favourite hue, with relaxed blue taking centre stage, juxtaposed by distinct woven textures and patterns to add a modern twist to what remains inherently the classic style that Jeffrey is celebrated for.
“I believe if you want that “coastal” feel you can have it anywhere, just don’t overdo it or over layer and accessorize it. Remember that, what we all love about the beach is its clean simplicity"
Inspired by glistening waves under a moon-lit sky, the new collection artfully fuses relaxed neutrals and blues with seaside patterns and motifs. In a palette from grey to chalk white and neutral tones with vibrant pops of blue. Inspired by the ever-changing colours of the ocean.
