Understanding KING Legacy Tags

There is a host of benefits that come with buying custom-made furniture.

Along with tailoring the design to suit your personal aesthetic and comfort needs, crafting custom-made furniture involves a high level of artistry and attention to detail—a quality that is not typically found in mass-produced furniture.

KING furniture is custom-made and features tailored removable covers. When you order a design, we place a personalised label inside the cover that shows your name, order number and part number.

This label is your Legacy Tag.

In this article, we will discuss the importance of the Legacy Tag, where to find it, and why you need it for our recovering services

The KING Legacy Tag is personalised with your order details.

What is a Legacy Tag and what is it used for?

The Legacy Tag is a personalised label that shows your name and order information.

These details are used by our in-house King Care® team who solely focus on helping customers with our recovery and refurbishment services.

The Legacy Tag allows the King Care team to find your exact order, design and sofa module sizes, which ensure we provide the correct sizes and designs when you order new covers.

It is also important to advise your King Care consultant if you have added other modules to your sofa and made additional orders over the years. That way, we can ensure you get covers made for every module – there is nothing worse than being short a cover and having to restart the process!

Legacy tags are found on every module of a KING sofa.

Finding your legacy tag on your KING sofa or sofa bed

Each individual sofa module will have a Legacy Tag, including the sofa platforms, arms, backs and cushions.

The tag is located on the either the, back, underside or arm of the module just inside the cover.

You can access the tag by simply unzipping or undoing the Velcro and running your fingers along the inside of the zipper or Velcro.

This is the same for our outdoor sofa designs.

Finding your legacy tag on occasional chairs or ottomans

While KING has numerous occasional chair designs—all varying in style and size, the legacy tag is always located on the back of the chair inside the cover.

To access, simply unzip or undo the Velcro cover.

Legacy Tags on ottomans are located on the underside of the design. You may need to undo all the Velcro or the entire zipper to locate.
